Clifton House is family run. It is in an ideal location in the thriving city of Newcastle set in a quiet area of the town yet is within easy reach of the town centre attractions.

Elegantly styled, Clifton House is on its own private grounds, providing Visit Britain 3 star rated accommodation in a quiet part of the city of Newcastle. It has an excellent location just 10 minutes from the town centre and is easily accessible from all transport routes.

Clifton House is conveniently situated for all local amenities such as Newcastle Central Station, Newcastle Coach Station, Newcastle Airport, University and Colleges, General Hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The Metro Radio Arena is just 5 minutes away.

We are also on the trail for Hadrian's Wall and the Coast to Coast.

We provide an excellent base for touring our historic region, which includes many places of interest and beauty: Hadrian's Wall, Beamish Museum, the market towns of Hexham and Morpeth as well as the castles of Alnwick, Warkworth and Bamburgh.

Clifton House is an elegant Victorian house built in 1880 maintaining the character and charm of bygone days and has been refurbished to offer modern facilities whilst maintaining its original charm and character.

A licensed bar is available for guests. Group bookings for Newcastle's night life are not accepted as we pride ourself on our peaceful atmosphere and ambience.

Private car parking within the grounds is available free of charge.
